When I sat down to write this blog, I was a bit stumped about what to talk about. It didn’t take long to decide what I really wanted to chat about was writing my next book.
It’s amusing how many rookie mistakes I made with my Zyrgin Warriors series. If there was something not to do, I did it. And still I get emails from people saying they read my books ten or fifteen times. It never ceases to amaze and touch me.
Zenze is a mixture of staunch loyal warrior that believed in the Zyrgin way, but also intelligent enough to ask some hard questions about the empire. His heroine on the other hand does not believe in the Zyrgin way at all. She wants them off her planet. Pronto.
I have the rough draft written and cannot wait to write the second draft to see how the characters come to life. There is a moment when the characters pop out of the page and magic happens. I can’t wait for that magic to happen and to share it with everyone.
Other books in the Zyrgin Scars series
Zayn
In a bid to get the Zyrgin invaders off their planet, Amira had handed one of their warriors a cup of drugged wine. At the time she didn't know her evil cousins would torture him. Didn't think it would cost him his career as a conquest warrior.
Now the Zyrgins had sent a governor to rule her planet. And he looked familiar.
Please Note: This book is set directly after Alien Redeemed
Zippor
Zippor wanted a female of his own, someone who would look at him and not see a lowly Scar.
What he did not expect and did not trust, was a female offering herself to him specifically.
Marie Dry
Ever since she can remember Marie Dry have wanted to travel and had the privilege to live in Zambia, Morocco and Spain as well as working for short periods in Brazil, Portugal, Zimbabwe and Mozambique. She see’s herself as a bit of a gypsy and every few years have to live someplace new.
All her life she read romances and was fairly young when she decided she would write the perfect story that has all the elements she’s looking for in a romance. In 1997 she shared a pizza with a friend and promised her she would go all out with the writing and get published. Marie said it’s a wonderful experience to see the characters in her head coming to life on the page. Being published is a dream come true for me.
